My name is Ronie, and for a long time, my skin was my biggest insecurity.

Growing up in the Philippines, I had acne — but it was something I could manage, something I learned to live with. I had my routines, my remedies, my quiet peace with it. Then I moved to the United States, and everything fell apart.

Almost overnight, my skin became unrecognizable. The breakouts were relentless — painful, inflamed, and impossible to hide. What was once tolerable had become horrifying. I looked in the mirror and didn't recognize myself.

And every single morning, I had to walk into a classroom and stand in front of my students. As a teacher, you pour your heart into inspiring others — but how do you inspire confidence when you've lost your own? I stood at that whiteboard, trying to hold it together, while inside I was crumbling.

I tried everything. Doctor visits. Prescription creams. Serums that promised miracles and delivered nothing. I spent thousands of dollars chasing a solution that never came. With every failed treatment, a little more of my hope slipped away.

I felt defeated. Invisible. Like my own skin had turned against me.

Then one day, I stopped waiting for someone else to fix it — and I started making my own soap.

I researched every ingredient. I tested every formula. I poured everything I had into finding something that would actually work. And slowly, beautifully, it did. The redness calmed. The breakouts faded. My reflection started to feel like mine again.

For the first time in years, I felt like myself.

The Meaning Behind the Name

In Tagalog, the Filipino language, dalisay means "pure" — clean, unsullied, and untainted. It is a word that carries beauty and intention. We chose this name because it reflects everything we believe skincare should be: pure ingredients, pure purpose, and a pure commitment to helping you feel whole in your own skin.

The name is also deeply personal — a nod to our Filipino roots and the culture that shaped us. It is a reminder that healing and beauty can come from the most honest, natural places.
